caroline pulliam

editor in chief

If you’re ever on the north side of SoHo and see a window crowded with stuffed animals, then you know where Caroline lives. Lover of all things cute (stuffed animals, Miffy, blind boxes, and her 11 pets), she has made it her mission to try every matcha spot in Sacramento and can often be found in cafes around Claremont with her friends.

melissa lee

assistant editor

Melissa is a junior. According to her 2025 LitMag bio, her biggest accomplishment was playing Wordle 766 times. As of May 4, 2026, her biggest accomplishment is playing Wordle 1,1114 times. If someone says the word Snoopy, Melissa will be summoned, and if you ask her if she has a specific Snoopy item, 9 out of 10 times she will have it.

sandy li

assistant editor

Sandy writes prose. She also loves watching rom-coms and hanging out with her friends. Sandy talks to strangers, too, her main source of inspiration for the stories she writes. If you want to get on her good side, feel free to get her a jelly donut from Krispy Kreme and a cold brew from Starbucks! If you have time, definitely do her favorite Wordle from April 4th, 2026, number 1750 :)

assistant editor

You may find me in either the dining hall trying to name every single flag or in my room doing homework. In order to lure me out of my room, like a unicorn in the forest, follow these steps: hold up Leo (the funny mop looking dog) up to my door, exclaim: “Cornwall’s coat of arms is ugly” (I will barge out and fight you because it’s so funny haha), and throw a macaron at me. After all these steps there is the chance I might spontaneously combust.

jewel hou

assistant editor

Jewel is a junior who still stuffs all their papers unsorted in their backpack. She is a self-diagnosed professional video gamer, game dev, drawer (not furniture), and creator of work-in-progresses. She is confused a lot of the time and thinks she is more niche than you. They listen to My Bloody Valentine but are a fakecel larping as a femcel. She is also easily ragebaited by common perils such as AI “““art”””, A-minuses, and to-do lists.

ava austria

web and fiction editor

Ava has a minimum rule of one fun caffeinated drink per day, but doesn’t actually enjoy the taste of coffee. Mostly spends time and money on blindboxes of Jujutsu Kaisen’s strongest sorcerer and/or matcha. With that in mind, her highly refined cafe order goes as follows: Double matcha, iced (hot drinks signify weakness), 25% sweet, strawberry matcha croffle, to make up for the sugar she removes from her drink. (She finds the term croffle very amusing.) Ava has a knack for using the word kitschy when it really doesn’t need to be used.
